Ex-WWE employee calls out Ronda Rousey for being "lazy;" says her controversial comments are "BS"

Tommy Carlucci and Jonathan Coachman recently made some scathing comments about former WWE superstar Ronda Rousey, calling her out for her alleged laziness and lack of dedication during her time with the company.

Ronda Rousey left WWE last year

In a recent episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, Carlucci didn't mince his words when it came to criticizing Rousey's work ethic. He accused the former UFC star of coasting by on her reputation and not putting in the necessary effort to succeed in the world of professional wrestling.

Carlucci specifically pointed to Rousey's recent comments about the disparity in resources and rehearsal time between herself and YouTube personality Logan Paul. Rousey claimed that she was not given the same level of support and preparation time as Paul, and that this contributed to her frustration with her WWE experience.

However, Carlucci dismissed Rousey's complaints as "BS," suggesting that she was simply looking for excuses for her own shortcomings.

He cited Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as an example of a celebrity who put in the hard work and dedication necessary to succeed in the WWE, despite having a busy schedule outside of wrestling.

"I think it's BS, Coach. Let's take a look at it, Coach. Rock was here what, 12 weeks? He flew three rings. The guy worked out every time, every chance he can get he worked at his craft.

I don't think she ever worked at her craft. I think she was lazy and she was just living off her name in the UFC that she was such a bada**. So, don't go blaming other [people]," Carlucci said.

Coachman echoed Carlucci's sentiments, claiming that he never witnessed Rousey putting in the necessary work to succeed in the WWE during his time with the company. He expressed frustration with Rousey's apparent lack of accountability for her own performance.

"She hasn't taken ownership of anything during her time in the WWE. And that's a little bit frustrating because I didn't see her one time when I was there, not once, walk out to the ring, work out during the day, put in the time when she had all the time in the world. So, I don't buy the passing the buck," Coachman remarked.

The criticisms from Carlucci and Coachman come in the wake of Rousey's departure from the WWE following a loss to Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match at SummerSlam last year. Despite the company seeing several former superstars make a return in recent years, Rousey has made it clear that she has no intention of coming back to the WWE.

Rousey's time in the WWE was marked by both accolades and controversies. She made a significant impact during her stint with the company, capturing the RAW Women's Championship and delivering memorable performances in high-profile matches.

However, her outspoken nature and occasional clashes with fellow wrestlers and fans often drew attention for the wrong reasons.

It's important to note that these are just the opinions of Carlucci and Coachman, and they do not represent the views of the entire wrestling community.

Rousey undoubtedly had her supporters during her time in the WWE, and many fans appreciated her contributions to the industry.

"She hasn't taken ownership of anything during her time in the WWE. And that's a little bit frustrating because I didn't see her one time when I was there, not once, walk out to the ring, work out during the day, put in the time when she had all the time in the world. So, I don't buy the passing the buck," he said.

Ultimately, Rousey's legacy in the WWE will be defined by a combination of her in-ring accomplishments and her interactions with fellow wrestlers and fans.

Whether or not she ever decides to return to the squared circle, her impact on the world of professional wrestling is undeniable.

As always, opinions on these matters vary widely, and it's important for fans to consider multiple perspectives before forming their own conclusions. The world of professional wrestling is a complex and multifaceted industry, and discussions about its participants can often be contentious.
