Paige VanZant and Dillon Danis Engage in Fiery Exchange
A war of words has erupted between Paige VanZant and Dillon Danis, heating up the combat sports world with their fiery exchange. The feud began when VanZant took a swipe at MMA fighters transitioning to boxing, igniting a verbal battle that has captivated fans and media alike.
VanZant, who is gearing up for an upcoming boxing match against model Elle Brooke, made her feelings known about MMA fighters making the switch to boxing.
"Dillon Danis is not a fighter, he's not a fair comparison," VanZant declared during an interview. She went on to express her frustration with the comparisons being drawn between her career and those of UFC veterans who leave the organization under less than ideal circumstances.
The 27-year-old fighter emphasized that her departure from the UFC was a strategic career move made while she was still young and at the peak of her abilities. In contrast, she suggested that many MMA fighters leave the UFC because they have few options left in their careers.
VanZant made it clear that her decision to pursue boxing was a proactive choice driven by her desire to explore new opportunities.
However, Danis was quick to respond to VanZant's comments, taking to Twitter to launch a scathing attack. In a series of tweets, he not only disputed VanZant's assertions but also made personal threats aimed at her and her marriage.
Danis implied that he had a previous relationship with VanZant and warned that he could potentially jeopardize her marriage.
"How fast they forget! Haha, relax, Paigey baby, just because I didn't wife you doesn't mean you have to be petty," Danis wrote on Twitter. "Don't make me bring up our two trips to Vegas and ruin your marriage."
VanZant wasted no time in firing back at Danis, releasing a video in which she vehemently refuted his claims and launched a scathing counterattack. She accused Danis of resorting to cheap tactics in an attempt to provoke a confrontation with her husband, Bellator MMA fighter Austin Vanderford.
"So Dillon, I obviously said you're not a real fighter, my bad I triggered you, I understand I hurt your feelings but instead of coming back and talking s**t about me," she stated in the video. "You kind of f'ed yourself right?
You backed yourself in a corner because now you have to come up with proof of this alleged affair because the only time I remember ever seeing you in Vegas was at the
UFC athlete retreat and you walked up to me in a bar asking me to peg you in front of multiple other UFC fighters and I laughed at your face."
The intensity of the exchange between VanZant and Danis has left fans and observers on edge, eagerly anticipating the next move in this escalating feud. As the verbal sparring continues, it remains to be seen how this clash will unfold and whether it will spill over into the realm of physical confrontation.
With emotions running high and tensions mounting, the VanZant-Danis saga has undoubtedly added an extra layer of drama to the combat sports landscape.
Both fighters have made their positions clear, leaving followers of the sport eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this compelling saga. As the war of words rages on, one thing is certain – the VanZant-Danis feud shows no signs of cooling down anytime soon.
